List of current snow emergencies

This is a list of the current snow emergencies in central Ohio and the surrounding area.

Today: Mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers. Light accumulations possible. High: 23. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.

Tuesday: Decreasing clouds and not as frigid. High: 33.

Weather Narrative: A fast-moving clipper system will bring a chance for snow on Monday starting in the morning. Snow will be scattered through the day with a coating to around an inch of snow possible by Monday night. It will stay cold out as well to start the week with highs in the low 20s on Monday. More sun and warmer weather return heading into the mid-week. Temperatures in the 50s and rain will become likely as we head into the new year.

Level 1: Jackson County, Knox County, Licking County, Logan County, Madison County, Marion County, Morgan County, Muskingum County, Noble County, Pickaway County, Pike County, Ross County, Union County

Level 2: Morrow County, Perry County, Richland County

Level 3: None

WHAT THE LEVELS MEAN

Level 1 Snow Emergency: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads are also icy; drive carefully.

Level 2 Snow Emergency: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Only those who believe it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work.

Level 3 Snow Emergency: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one else should be out during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel. All employees should contact their employers to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roadways may be subject to arrest.
