Fairfield County CERT Basic Course

We are excited to announce that Fairfield County Emergency Management will be offering the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) basic training course this September. The CERT team is the official volunteer cadre of the EMA office, ready to assist during emergencies or planned events.

More importantly, this training teaches you how to prepare yourself and your family for when an emergency or disaster may occur at home. During this FREE training, you will learn from subject matter experts, including lessons in emergency preparedness, first aid, fire safety, search and rescue, and disaster psychology.

This year’s course will be held on the following dates from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

• Tuesday, September 10th
• Wednesday, September 11th
• Monday, September 16th
• Tuesday, September 17th
• Wednesday, September 18^th

You are required to attend all sessions in order to receive your CERT Basic Certification. However, special arrangements can be made to make up days that you are unable to attend in person.
