SUMMARY:Fairfield County CERT Basic Course
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that Fairfield County Emergency Management will be offering the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) basic training course this September. The CERT team is the official volunteer cadre of the EMA office\, ready to assist during emergencies or planned events. \nMore importantly\, this training teaches you how to prepare yourself and your family for when an emergency or disaster may occur at home. During this FREE training\, you will learn from subject matter experts\, including lessons in emergency preparedness\, first aid\, fire safety\, search and rescue\, and disaster psychology. \nTo learn more about the CERT program\, please their website: https://fairfieldema.com/getinvolved.html \nThis year’s course will be held on the following dates from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM \n\nTuesday\, September 10th\nWednesday\, September 11th\nMonday\, September 16th\nTuesday\, September 17th\nWednesday\, September 18th\n\nYou are required to attend all sessions in order to receive your CERT Basic Certification. However\, special arrangements can be made to make up days that you are unable to attend in person.
